Known as "spiderman" for his unorthodox, acrobatic putting style, Camilo Villegas completely changed the image of professional golfers when he burst onto the world stage out of the University of Florida. The young Colombian cut a new image of the strength, athleticism and flexibility that would now be required to excel at the highest level.GQ Magazine says "He's got a closet full of tight trousers, a set of boxer's biceps and more screaming female fans than Justin Timberlake."

While he now attracts attention wherever he goes, he honed his world-class skills in relative obscurity back home in Colombia. Despite a decorated amateur career during which he won numerous junior events, was the second player to win the Colombian Open as an amateur and was celebrated as the "Player of the Decade" by the Colombian Golf Federation, Villegas began to be recognized as a three-time All American and two-time SEC Player of the Year at Florida. Dedicated to his golf game and his fitness, and with a style that's all his own, Camilo Villegas is an icon in any language.

I know it says that he has a bunch of screaming ladies but I want to say that Camilo is a really classy guy because at the players championship at TPC Sawgrass me and my daughter met him. He stood there for a few minutes and talked to us and communicated with my daughter most of the time being that she is only 4 yrs. old. He really went above and beyond by keeping the image of the PGA tour players to an elite level. Mr. Villegas if you read this thank you and keep up the good work.

I have top wonder, will he be able to read the greens like that when he hits, 30, 40, or 50?

Enjoy seeing Villegas play golf.  In the October/2009 Issue of Golf Magazine, Camilo is on the cover.  He has an aricle on his 7 Easy Moves for a Better Game.  On pages 96 &97, there are full page shots of him with Footjoy shoes.  What are the shoes that he is wearing.  How do I get a pair?

Thanks,
