It think some look at it as a class issue and jeans are not worthy.. I have some pretty expensive jeans, but would never consider them for golf... I could see ripped, torn or holed jeans being worn,
golfdoc1: curious how strongly negative the feelings are about jeans on the golf course and yet sticking something cancerous into one's mouth and filling the air with a foul smell is viewed as very compatible with being a "man" on the golf course.

fredcloss: WE wore jeans at the Texas A&M course in college. If the course allows it, then who am I to say different. However, you will never see me wearing them to play golf. It doesn't take more money to dress decently.

HOOK 'EM HORNS
Absolutely not.
ABSOLUTELY NO, NEVER, NO WAY, NADA!!!
i say ware what is comfertable
I think that a certain decoram must be maintained on the course.
Jeans are not proper attire and neither are tshirts for that matter.
I do not have a pair of jeans in my wardrobe. The reason for this is that I began playing golf at eight and was not allowed on a golf course with jeans. The club were not prepared to rule on distinguishing what constituted a smart pair of jeans and what did not. They simply banned them. I have to say I like the idea of golfers not wearing jeans. I think a nice pair of pants or tailored shorts is part of the correct golfing attire. I would not welcome a rule that allows jeans onto the course.
I vote no
Apparently Loud mouth are trying to kid the players or the clubs that the new range of pants they have developed are jeans that would not be spotted on a golf course. What do you think? (you'll notice she isn't wearing footjoys: behave!!)
Jeans are just fine for casual wear, but not on a golf course in my opinion.
Jeans belong back on the farm.
It just doesnt look right and doesnt seem comfy!!
Yes, I never wear jeans or a t-shirt, regardless of what type of golf course it is. I think that if I play in different material, it will end up effecting my game. That is why I try not to wear jeans or t-shirts at the range as well.
I agree I think its totally unacceptable to wear jeans on the course now on the range thats a different story but never on the course besides there uncomfortable to wear while playing in my opinion.
