last week I was pulling my putter across the line on the follow through.  Does anybody have any drills for this?

You might try this one:

There are many others at this site, take a look around.

Set up a couple tees about putter width apart and hit through them on the follow through, if you hit the tees keep practicing until you get through the tees everytime.  I've heard if you're having trouble with the putter, never to practice for more than 45 minutes at a time because you can then develop a poor swing if you aren't hitting the ball well and it will hurt you more than help.

The best way to fix this would be to go to your local PGA Pro and have him LOOK at your putting. Seeing the entire way you putt from setup to the stroke will let him give you the best possible drills for your particular problem.

a great drill my instructor has had me to is to use a chalk line. if anyones not familiar with a chalk line its pretty much a rope of chalk that will provide you a straight line. find a straight 3-foot putt and snap the chalk line down on the green. line your ball up on the line and putt until you can make 50 in a row. this will help you get a feel for where your putterhead is aiming as well as visualization on the course. also an important aspect of putting is solid contact and my problem was that my eyes were inside the ball. drop a ball from your left eye and if it falls on the golf ball at address you know your eyes are square and you will make solid contact. hope this helps everyone drop more putts!

I do use the chalk like from time to time.  Just pop it under the lid of a bottle filled with water and its good to go.  really does help if you are having some yips with the putter.  I use it a lot to make sure my eyes are in the correct spot over the ball and to make sure I am on line with the putter.  Simple but effective.

get on a putting green and then put a ball down and then swing back and swing threw

I use the 2 tees as a gate to stroke through. That helps manage the point of the contact with the ball. The line is a big deal too of course.

This wheree 19's comment about having your Pro look at your swing is always key. Too many variables to deal with, so get the proper help to the problem.
